Amy Winehouse to move to the suburbs and more in Mirror.co.uk's Friday gossip round-up

Showbiz Towers and we're slightly alarmed at the news that Amy Winehouse may be moving to the suburbs when she returns from her Caribbean odyssey.

Although obviously we want Amy to be healthy and well so that she keeps making great music when she finally finishes lounging around in St Lucia, we can't help thinking that if the reports are true, it'll prove to be an utterly pointless waste of time.

It's all very well for her family, friends and fans to want the songstress to move to Hanley Wood in North London so she's further away from inner city drug dealers (though having watched The Wire, we understand that such lowlifes are quite capable of driving cars).

But we can't help but worry that because the Back To Back singer is so London born and bred, she'll simply go Burb Bonkers as soon as she ups sticks.

After all, there's absolutely burger all to do round there - no pubs, no clubs, no nuffink, as Amy herself might say and she's a girl that thrives on the urban vibe.

Luckily though, the 25-year-old star will only be renting there and still has her recently-burgled Camden bolthole should she wish to return to The Smoke.

We also think that unless she wants new album to be full of 'hello trees, hello sky, oh look, a Ford Mondeo and a mock-Tudor mansion' lyrics she'll be back in the capital proper pretty sharpish anyway.

And of course we'd much rather have Amy back where she belongs in the thick of things in the Big City as it gives us something to gossip about after all when we see her down the Hawley. Talking of which, here's the top goss for today...
