Jade's pain as Jack faces jail

/ On : miércoles, marzo 04, 2009/
BRAVE Jade Goody gives a spirited thumbs-up yesterday — just before collapsing in tears when she learned her husband could be thrown back in prison.

The cancer-stricken TV star also managed a faint smile as she was transferred between hospitals.

But at the same time new hubby Jack Tweed — fresh out of jail — was convicted of a vicious assault and warned he faced another stretch.

ade — said yesterday to have between two and four weeks to live — was devastated. A friend said: “She was heavily sedated but sobbed her heart out.”

Part-time model Jack, 21, also wept when he was convicted of gripping a cabbie in a headlock, threatening to stab him and yanking his handbrake at 50mph.

He will be sentenced in three weeks. And it is possible he will be locked away when Jade, 27, dies.

The pal said: “Jade will make every second count. She doesn’t blame Jack. She loves him deeply. But it’s an extra strain.”

Mum-of-two Jade returned to London’s Royal Marsden hospital after having surgery to relieve extreme bowel pain at nearby Chelsea and Westminster hospital.

Jack went to see the Big Brother star after his court appearance. And he spent hours at her bedside giving her cuddles.

Jack attacked taxi driver Stephen Wilkins, 54, in a row over a fare.

He was on bail at the time over a golf club onslaught on a lad, for which he was later jailed.

He will be sentenced on March 26 but was told: “Custody must be considered.” JPs in Epping, Essex, ignored pleas from his solicitor to adjourn the case for two months so he could be with Jade.

Last night Mr Wilkins said Jack deserved to be jailed “but not right now”. He added: “I’m glad he’ll be able to spend time with Jade. My heart goes out to her.”
