Jade's tears of joy at reunion

DYING Jade Goody wept with happiness yesterday as she was reunited with her beloved boys for the first time since leaving hospital.

Cancer-stricken Jade, 27, was “overjoyed” as she saw Bobby, five, and Freddie, four, run smiling up to her bedside at home.

She also spent just her second night with husband Jack Tweed since they were married last month — after officials lifted his curfew.

The boys arrived at the house in Upshire, Essex, at 4pm, still wearing their school uniforms and clutching dad Jeff Brazier’s hands.

Freddie broke away from Jeff, 29, and raced up to the front door. But Bobby gripped his hand and looked close to tears. They left with their dad three hours later wearing masks they had painted with their mum.

Jade’s mother Jackiey, 50, said: “She had a great time. Freddie read his school book to her. The boys were brave. They did really well.”

Big Brother star Jade, who went home on Wednesday, had not seen her sons since the weekend they were christened alongside her at the chapel in London’s Royal Marsden Hospital.

Sleepy

Jackiey said: “She’s really been looking forward to seeing them. That’s why she wanted to leave hospital.”

But she added: “Jade’s not well today. She spilt medicine all over herself. She’s very sleepy.”

A source close to the family said: “Jade has been very tired and sleepy all day. She has no energy at all and she knows her life is coming to end.

“As soon as she saw the boys she started crying, but only because she was so happy to see them.

“They were happy too. They missed their mum and don’t really understand everything that is happening.”

Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford said last night: “The most important thing for her is that she spends the time she’s got left surrounded by her children, her mum and her husband.”

Jack, 21 — on parole after being jailed for assault — arrived at Jade’s £750,000 barn conversion at 11.30am yesterday. He stayed over after justice officials let him remain at her side for up to three nights.

A pal said: “He just wants to comfort Jade in her final days.”

Jade has said she wants to die “surrounded by love”.
