CORONATION Street star Jane Danson was rushed to hospital yesterday to give birth to her second child. The actress who plays troublemaker Leanne Battersby in the ITV1 show, has two-year-old son Harry with her husband — former Brookside actor Robert Beck.
Jane, 30, will be the latest Corrie favourite to give birth.
And her baby will be the FOURTH tot to arrive for cast members in less than a month.
Alison King, 35 — who plays conniving Carla Connor — had a girl called Daisy Mae two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, co-star Jack P Shepherd, 21, alias bad boy David Platt, was celebrating after his fiance Lauren Shippey gave birth to daughter Nyla Rae in the same week.
And Wanda Opalinska — factory worker Wiki Dankowska — gave birth just a few days after that.
Her baby boy has been named Rafal.
A source for the show filmed in Manchester said: -Jane is in hospital and we are awaiting some exciting news any time now.
The baby rush is thought to be lifting spirits on the Street after the hit soap was rocked by three deaths earlier this month.
