BATTLING Jade Goody is vowing to summon every last ounce of her remaining strength to walk down the aisle with her groom — in a CHURCH wedding. The brave mum of two, given just months to live last week, looked likely to marry fiancé Jack Tweed in the chapel of the London hospital where she had to endure exhausting cancer treatment.
But she has revealed she is now desperate to hold Sunday’s poignant ceremony in a church elsewhere.
The Big Brother star, 27, said: “I am going to die in this hospital, so I don’t want to get married here.
“But wherever we tie the knot, I’m determined to walk down that aisle. I’ve lost my balance and the doctors aren’t sure if it’s a sign that the cancer has spread to the brain or if it’s just weakness.
“But I’m hoping I will have the strength to walk on my big day. It would be so cruel to be robbed of that one last thing as well.”
Begged
Jade’s vow was revealed after Jack took her out in her wheelchair beside the Thames in London — and officially popped the question in a heart-rending scene which saw him get down on his knees.
He tenderly hugged his dying fiancée as she ecstatically said: “Yes”. Jade, mum to five-year-old Bobby and brother Freddie, four, can no longer stand without support after months of chemotherapy.
And romantic Jack added today that he would “rather do life in prison” than live without her.
He said the pain of being separated from Goody while he was in prison confirmed that he wanted to be with her.
He said: “It is hard to see the one you love so much look so ill but it still feels the same when I kiss her, I still fancy her. There’s nothing different.
“If she died it would kill me. I’d rather do life in prison than live without Jade.”
Jade has begged docs at the Royal Marsden Hospital to help her fulfil her wedding day dream.
She told them: “I will be walking down the aisle on my wedding day. Please help me do that.”
Jade added: “I’m so looking forward to being a bride. And I want to walk toward my groom, just like any other young woman would on what is meant to be the best day of their lives.”
Sad doctors have admitted they are unable to save Jade, first diagnosed with cervical cancer last summer. They are now giving her only palliative treatment to ease her pain.

The star has asked Living TV producer Kate Jackson — part of a film crew documenting Jade’s illness — to be her bridesmaid.
Jack, 21, was seen pushing his fiancée around the shops in a hospital wheelchair as they searched for wedding outfits on Sunday.
The pair also picked out engagement rings from Tiffanys.
Jade’s love for Jack shone through later as they made their way along the Chelsea Embankment beside the Thames — stopping to share kisses and hugs.
They enjoyed a golden moment as they paused to exchange the rings and slip them gently on to one another’s fingers. Giggling Jade seemed briefly to forget her grim battle with cancer — kissing her besotted sweetheart’s hand.
Loyal Jack is to have one usher and a best man at the wedding. Both will wear navy Armani suits.
The groom has looked at a cream morning suit by the Italian designer for himself — while eager Jade chose a £3,500 gown from Harrods, given to her as a gift by store owner Mohamed Fayed.
A Harrods spokesman said yesterday: “We can confirm the chairman has given Jade a complimentary wedding dress worth £3,500 after she came into the store at the weekend.
“His heart goes out to her and her family and he wanted to do something to help.”
Jade’s chosen frock is a cream and ivory exclusive Uranio dress from the Pronovias 2009 collection by Manuel Mota. It is available in just five locations worldwide.
Fashioned from silk mikado, it has a classic design with a high neckline, a V-back and full skirt box pleating.
Celebrities sending their support to Jade have included telly’s Simon Cowell and Dale Winton, while more than 1,000 well-wishers bombarded The Sun’s online message boards. Jade has begun eating apricot seeds — popular with US cancer patients who believe they can offer a miracle cure. Some medical experts have warned the stones can release cyanide when digested. But Jade last night insisted: “What have I got to lose?”

The Sun revealed on Saturday how tragic Jade was given the dreadful news that she was dying.
In her remaining time, she will have Bobby and Freddie christened so that they will know “Mummy is in heaven”.
Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford said yesterday: “She’s hoping that through the church they will find Jesus, and through Jesus she’ll be able to stay in touch with them.”
Meanwhile Living TV bosses have changed the title of Thursday night’s reality show from Jade’s Progress to simply Jade.
They have been unable to film with the star for the past two weeks but have instead interviewed Jack, Jade’s mum Jackiey and several close friends.
Jade has said she may even consider dying on telly if it helps financially secure her children.
Living TV said filming of her illness would resume if she consents.
